GERMANY: The German investment firm Triton has acquired a majority stake in Kälte Eckert Group, one of the leading suppliers of environmentally friendly refrigeration systems in Germany.

The current management team of Michael and Holger Eckert are also investing together with Triton, a company which also includes air handling unit manufacturer Flakt and heat exchanger firm Kelvion in its portfolio.

Kälte Eckert Group is one of the leading companies in the field of “natural”refrigeration technology. The group includes four companies: Kälte Eckert GmbH, Günther Kältetechnik GmbH, Gartner, Keil & Co GmbH, and SOS Kältetechnik GmbH.

Founded in 1966, the company has developed from a one-man operation to a successful medium-sized company for air conditioning and refrigeration systems with more than 100 employees. It provides solutions based on “natural”refrigerants and covers the entire value chain from consulting, planning, engineering, installation, maintenance to after-sales services.

“Kälte Eckert has a leading position in its markets and is helping to meet the increasing demand for sustainable refrigeration and air conditioning solutions. This is an excellent fit for Triton, as we have a strong desire to contribute to the transition to more environmentally friendly solutions in the markets, we operate in,” said Andi Klein, managing partner and head of TSM at Triton.
